Your First On-Line Therapy Appointment

It is important, for your first and every following appointment actually, to set yourself in a place where you will be able to talk comfortably for an hour and a half, be sure that you are in a private area and that you are not concerned others will hear you talking, so that you can feel safe sharing. It is good to be sitting comfortably, better with a desktop or laptop, first because it can be really tiring holding your phone for so long, in addition to having a stable camera will leave your hands free to do any body exercises that we might be doing and will help me to observe you while doing the exercises. However i can understand that everyone have their preferences regarding tech, but please keep in mind the part of the body exercises that i have mentioned above. In addition it would be preferable that you have enough space available so  that you can move around, walk and follow the body exercises.

Our first appointment is an assessment, and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about body psychotherapy and the rest of the methods that we will use, talk about what have brought you to therapy and the issues you are facing, how you are feeling, and what you expect to achieve in therapy. I will also decide if I can offer you what you need in order to be of help, and you can make your initial judgement on if you feel ok to continue. If you do, then we will book a couple more sessions and then check and confirm again that this is right for you. If it is, we will continue with a steady schedule. Our first appointment can also include some therapy if we agree to this.

In addition we will discuss about the rules of the therapeutic context like confidentiality, time schedule, cancellation policy, and money investment

If you need to cancel your online therapy appointment with me for any reason, please get in touch 48 hours before we are due to start as cancellations of less than 48 hours notice before an appointment will still be charged.

What to expect in a session

A psychoterapeutic session lasts between 1 and 1 1/2 hour and takes place on a weekly basis. During the session we work on whatever issue you choose, with usefull prompts and suggestions from my part. We talk, work on body exercises, a variety of body and mindfull meditations, a variety of breathing practices, dream work, and most of the times bodywork and other practices are given as *homework, in order for you to continue working during the week. You will keep a journal on the body work practices given, in order to create your personal list of usefull tools to have for the future. Also a part of the journal is used for making notes on dreams, as dream work is an essential field of the psyche that we work with, thus creating a bridge between the waken and dream state, the conscious and subconscious, a bridge between the realities, a deeper understanding of the codes our psyche uses to communicate to us.

We have a set of regulations, the so called Psychotherapeutic Contract, that we will talk about on our first session and follow through our work together (this includes confidentiality, the time limit of the session, financial issues, use of language, and code of ethics). The session is the safe space where you can share all the information and issues you find appropriate and feel you want to discuss, always in a space of confidentiality, understanding, with clear boundaries, moving forward one step at time to self realisation, self understanding, self healing and transformation towards conscious growth.

When it feels appropriate for your growth, other modalities and tools can be used like creating a Chakra Grid or a 7x7 Grid, having a Cleansing, a chakra alignment, an SRT session, work with Quantum LIGHT healing or Reiki, etc. The variety of tools offered, give the opportunity to approach the uniqueness of your needs as an individual, embracing your totality!
